Gateron Double-Rail Magnetic Hall Effect Switches
With the first invented dual-rail structure, and the special pre-lubed, these switches ensure unparalleled stability and smoothness like never before.
Installed with an optimal magnetic sensor with a sensitivity of only 0.1 mm, it offers more precious feedback. You can customize actuation points and assign multiple actions to a single key based on the travel depth you personalized, enhancing gameplay and providing a customized typing sensation.
Adjustable Actuation Point
Customize each key with ultra-precise 0.1 mm sensitivity and adjustable actuation points ranging from 0.2 to 3.8 mm. Setting the actuation point to 0.8 mm or 1.0 mm shortens the trigger and increases sensitivity. The reset occurs once you release the key, ensuring a faster response.
Dynamic Rapid Trigger
Activate or deactivate keys based on travel distance rather than fixed points. They activate precisely upon pressing and deactivate upon letting go, allowing for immediate repetition of keystrokes in mod-motion. This enables you to execute a chain of actions in quick succession during gameplay.
Multiple Actions, One Keystroke
Assign four actions to a single key based on the depth of your press. For example, lightly press a key to walk forward in a game, and press deeper to run. Additionally, releasing the key also supports two-stage settings. This allows for smoother, personalized combinations that can give you an edge in competitive gaming.

Double-Gasket Design
Silicone pads between the top and bottom cases reduce acoustic resonance, maintaining gasket flexibility and enhancing typing sound. The keyboard's bottom has an acoustic pad, improving sound quality with a slight impact on flexibility. Users seeking more flexibility can opt to remove the acoustic pad.
An Epic Core Inside The Keyboard
Engineered with a powerful chip (MCU) with 256K flash and QMK open-source firmware to provide more flexibility for developers. The polling rate is 1000 Hz out of the box in Type-C wired mode and 2.4 GHz mode, which greatly helps when competitively gaming.
Suitable for All Devices
Built with the Mac users’ experience in mind while still retaining compatibility for Windows devices, the Q1 HE comes with a system toggle and an additional set of customized keycaps for both Windows and macOS systems. You can now save two different layouts on the keyboard, one for each system.
OSA Profile Double-shot PBT Keycaps
It has a similar height to that of the OEM profile and has an SA-like shape. We named it the OSA (OEM spherical angled) keycap. The PBT keycaps will provide excellent oil resistance, enhance the type feel, and prevent the legends from fading out.
Hot-swappable
Unlike mechanical switches, which depend on physical contact, Hall Effect magnetic switches use magnets to detect key presses. It is effortless to swap out the switch with compatible Hall Effect magnetic switches.

South-facing RGB LED Lights
The south-facing RGB is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist’s angle with the premium non-shine-through PBT keycaps installed. The south-facing RGB is also free from interference when the user installs Cherry-profile alternative keycaps on their keyboard.
All New Screw-In PCB Stabilizers
The screw-in design increases stability and makes it easier for changes and upgrades. Precise craftsmanship makes the stabilizers more stable and less wobbly. The big keys’ (space bar, shift, enter, delete) typing experience is now more stable and smooth.

So far the best keyboard I've owned. Sturdy and solid, key pressing has incomparable stability and the sound is absolutely clean.
I've been using my new Keychron Q1 HE for a few days and love just about everything it has to offer. Build quality is outstanding. You could use this heavy keyboard as a bludgeoning weapon if you run out of ammo during the zombie apocalypse.
Adding 2.4GHz wireless was long overdue and works so much better than Bluetooth. I use the keyboard wired to my PC and via 2.4GHz to my M3 Air. I'm now fully hooked on magnetic switches. The customization options are pretty cool. Typing on my other mechanical keyboards just feels wrong.
I'm going to get a different set of keycaps. A minor annoyance is not being able to tell if CAPS LOCK is active since you can't see any lighting change through the caps. There's no height adjustment so I got a pair of little flip up risers ($7 Amazon) to raise the keyboard to a more comfortable typing position.
I prefer a lighter touch, so bought a set of Gateron Dawn magnetic switches along with the keyboard. These hot-swappable switches can be difficult to remove. I tried several tools, but nothing worked. I didn't want to use too much force and risk damaging my keyboard, so checked a few YT videos. I found a solution that showed how to use a watch band removal tool. I was able to pry up the switches with ease.
I'm super pleased with this Q1 HE. At $220, it ain't cheap, but I think it's well worth the price.
Keys feel and sound great, build quality is excellent. My other KB is a Wooting 60HE, and this is my preference in every way - EXCEPT the software. Hopefully they'll continue to improve the customization software, but even without software improvements, this is the best prebuilt KB you can buy.
I am not a gamer, but I do enjoy the world of custom keyboards. The hall effect is a remarkably interesting technology, and I was intrigued enough that I had to get me a board that had it. I've never been a keycap snob, but I decied to splurge on a GMK keycapset because I wanted to experience what the fuzz with those keycaps is all about. For having a cost on the higher end, I was so ready to be unimpressed both by the caps and even by the keyboard for not being sure about its "magnetic" feature . Glad I got proven wrong for both and very unexpectedly pleased. My advice woudl be to get the barebones and invest in a high-quality kecap set (avoid the cheap brands, they will diminish the beauty and pleasure you'd would otherwise get with more upscale options).
I am not a gamer but if I were, I would think this option is a no-brainer, the web-app to configure actuation points, triggering, etc. seems to be very comprehensive and overall, for me, this offers a better value than other keyboards in this same category (i.e. Wooting offerings).
